A24 has acquired US rights to The Death of Robin Hood, the upcoming adventure story from writer-director Michael Sarnoski with Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer set to star. Sarnoski has won numerous awards, including the Independent Spirit Award for best screenplay for his first feature

will begin in February 2019. Alexander Black, Lyrical Media and Aaron Ryder will produce the film under their Ryder Picture Company banner. Andrew Swett and Alexander Black from Lyrical Media will finance the film. Natalie Sellers and Jon Rosenberg of Lyrical will produce the film with Rama Gottumukkala and Michael Sarnoski. Jackman will also be involved. WME Independent represents worldwide sales rights. A24 plans a theatrical release. Sarnoski’s version of the folklore character, Robin Hood, is gravely wounded and grappling with his history after a lifetime of crime and murder. A mysterious woman offers him salvation.
