The French-Greek actor received EUR350,000 for his feature-directing debut. Ireland’s Element Pictures is producing the co-production between Ireland, UK Germany and Greece. The English-language adaptation is based on Daisy Johnson’s gothic book of the same title. It follows two sisters as they move to the country with their maniac, depressive mother.
