TriStar Pictures’ The Woman King has been approved for a China release. Viola Davis plays General Nanisca, who trains the next generation of recruits, and prepares them for battle against a terrifying enemy. The cast includes Lashana Lynch and Lashana Lynch. John Boyega, Sheila Atim and Hero Fiennes Tiffin also star.
Dana Stevens penned the screenplay from a Maria Bello and Stevens story. Bello, Cathy Schulma and Davis served as producers. Peter McAleese was the executive producer.
