Alicia Vkander and Elizabeth Olsen are set to star in Fleur Fortune’s debut feature, The assessment, which is slated to shoot this summer in Cologne at MMC Studios.
The futuristic thriller is a coproduction between Stephen Woolley’s Number 9 Films, based in the UK, and augenschein Filmproduktion from Germany. It has received EUR1m funding from Cologne’s regional film fund Filmstiftung NRW. The German distributor Capleight has already been appointed to release the film. Fortune has become known for her visually stunning commercials, music videos, and short films. A part of society has created its own parallel world. The desire to have children and control of life is not left to chance. A female assessor closely monitors the lives of a young successful couple for seven days.
