‘Lost Love

Hong Kong’s Media Asia Film has signed a series of deals for Ka Sing Fung’s Lost LoveThe drama, starring Sammi Cheng, has been picked up for North America by Illume Films, Applause Taiwan (Taiwan), Lotus Five Star Malaysia and Brunei, and Clover Films Singapore. Media Asia is being considered for Japan and the UK.

Cheng won the Hong Kong Film Critics Society’s best actress award for her portrayal as a woman who cares for foster children. The Hong Kong Film Awards will be held on April 16.

. She is nominated for the same category. Katherine Lee produced the feature and was funded by the Hong Kong Film Development Council’s inaugural feature film initiative. William Chang and Man Lim Chung serve as image consultant and editing supervisor respectively.

It received its world premiere as a closing film of the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival last October and was released in Hong Kong on March 2 through US studio Universal Pictures. It is set to be rolled out in overseas markets from later this week.
