As the EFM gets underway Clay Epstein’s Film Mode Entertainment continues to strengthen its executive ranks and has appointed Michaela Johnson-Carroll director, international sales.

The company, in Berlin selling the thriller Unseen from Jen Soska and Sylvia Soska and Marcus Dunstan’s horror mystery All My Friends Are Dead, recently hired Lydia Ianni as VP, acquisitions and development, and promoted Charlotte Mott to director, worldwide sales.

Johnson-Carroll will work strategically with the entire team on North America and the Middle East.

She will also handle global sales, business affairs, and represent Screen Media’s catalogue and work in acquisitions and marketing. She will handle the UK, Australia/New Zealand, France, Benelux, Asia, Airlines, Turkey, and Israel, and will work alongside Mott on Germany, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Scandinavia, Spain, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and South Africa.

Johnson-Carroll most recently oversaw global sales at Gunpowder & Sky and worked on Survive starring Sophie Turner and Sheryl with Sheryl Crow. Before that she worked at Voltage Pictures on the YA After series, Ava starring Jessica Chastain and The Marksman with Liam Neeson. She started at Blue Fox Entertainment.
