Nolan Gallagher

Nolan Gallagher is to step down as CEO of Gravitas Ventures, the US video on demand and theatrical distributor he founded in 2006.

Anthem Sports & Entertainment, the TV network and sports group that bought Gravitas in 2021, said it is working with Nolan and has retained an advisor to find a new head for the company.

Nolan will be leaving Gravitas in March. He will now concentrate on his ownership of a new Major League Soccer team to play in Cleveland. Gravitas moved from Los Angeles in 2019.

Gravitas released more than 3,000 films via VOD in the US. Recent releases have included theatrical launch Mack & Rita, The King’s Daughter, Queen Bees, Our Friend and Vanguard.

Gallagher commented: “I and by extension Gravitas have been so fortunate to have collaborated with so many talented directors, producers, actors, and media executive over the last 17 years. It has been a rewarding experience for me professionally and personally to have been able to participate in the development, growth, and maturation that video on demand audiences enjoy compelling stories.
