‘Young Werther”

UK sales outfit Mister Smith Entertainment will launch international sales at the American Film Market, which takes place October 31 to November 5, with CAA Media Finance handling US sales. A first-look photo featuring Alison Pill, Douglas Booth, and others has also been released. They are joined by Patrick J. Adams, Iris Apatow and Canadian filmmaker Jose Avelino Gilles Corbett Lourenco in the starry cast. He also wrote the screenplay. The feature unfolds as Werther – played by Booth – falls for a woman who is already in a committed relationship. The three friends become awkward besties, navigating the complexities between lust, affinity and semi-requited romance. Mason Novick, the producer of Juno

, is an executive producer for the film. Young Werther

was produced with the participation of Telefilm Canada and Ontario Creates, in association with Ashland Hill Media Finance, and with Canadian distributor levelFILM attached.
