Paramount pushes back ‘Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning 2 to 2025 amid ongoing actor strike

‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’

Paramount distribution executives have pushed Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two into 2025 due to the ongoing actors strike and moved A Quiet Place: Day One into its summer 2024 slot.

The Tom Cruise tentpole is yet to resume production due to the work stoppage and the ongoing production disruption left studio brass no choice but to push the release from June 28 2024 to May 23, 2025.

In its place goes Lupita Nyong’o tentpole A Quiet Place: Day One, which moves from March 8 2024 to June 28 2024.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One earned a relatively light $567.3m worldwide this summer and ranks fourth in the $4bn franchise box office pantheon. The champion remains 2018’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout from on $791.7m.

In other changes, Paramount has moved up John Krasinski’s family comedy-drama IF from May 24 2024 by one week to May 17 2024.

Untitled Animated Spongebob Squarepants Film, previously dated on May 23, 2025, is pushed back to December 19, 2025.
