Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s live-action Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling and Sandra Huller, has begun filming in London for Amazon MGM Studios. Miller confirmed the start of shooting via social media. The film is a popular adaptation of Andy Weir’s science fiction novel with the same title, written in 2021 by the author of “The Martian”, Andy Weir. Over time, he begins remembering his mission to the Tau Ceti solar systems, 12 years away from Earth, to reverse solar dimming that could lead to extinction of humanity. Huller will play Eva Stratt, a formerly employed ESA employee, who is leading the project to save mankind. The producers are Amy Pascal, Lord, Miller, and Aditya sood. Also confirmed is director of photography Greig Fraser, who will be shooting the film in IMAX.
