Mediapro Studio opens Los Angeles office for English-language push

The Mediapro Studio has opened a new US/Canada Headquarters office in Los Angeles, and has appointed Juan JC Acosta as the head of operations for this market.

The company, which is the production division of Spain’s Mediapro communications, is pushing to increase production and distribution of English language content, including scripted shows, reality and entertainment programs, document The Los Angeles office of The Mediapro Studio will be the US headquarters. Staff from the Miami and New York offices (which has a production facility in New York) already work at the Los Angeles office. Acosta will be based both in Los Angeles and Miami. He will also oversee the Miami and New York offices in addition to the Los Angeles Office. He was previously president of international networks, streaming, and the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America at Paramount. He also served as ViacomCBS International Studios’ president. The Mediapro Studio has produced English-language content for HBO/Max and BBC. This includes the limited series by Paolo Sorrentino
