Bruce WillisBruce Willis’ family announced that Bruce’s condition has improved and that they now have a more specific diagnosis, frontotemporal (also known as FTD). Unfortunately, Bruce is not the only one suffering from the disease. Although it is difficult, this is a relief to finally know the cause.
The statement was posted on the website for the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration. It stated that there are currently no treatments for the disease. This is something we hope will change in the coming years.
“Bruce believed in using his voice to help others and raise awareness about important topics both privately and publicly.” “We know in our hearts that – if he could today – he would want to respond by bringing global attention and a connectedness with those who are also dealing with this debilitating disease and how it impacts so many individuals and their families.”
The statement was attributed to
Emma Hemming Willis, the actor’s wife, his ex-wife Demi Moore and his children Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel and Evelyn.
Willis is best known for the Die
Hard and Look Who’s Talking franchises as well as films including The Fifth Element, The Sixth Sense, PulpFiction and Armageddon.
